The summer is a particularly vulnerable time for kids who rely on free or reduced-price meals during the school year. At the Y, we know that children who receive daily nutrition are set up to succeed. That’s why we’re helping kids reach their full potential by providing free access to healthy snacks and meals when school’s out for summer. Grab-N-Go Summer Meals
The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina and two community partners in Vance County will be distributing 7-days' worth of shelf-stable breakfast and 7-days' worth of shelf-stable lunch every Wednesday and Friday. Along with these meals children and families will be able to pick up other items and get connected with other community resources. Children may only receive meals from one of these two locations per week.
