YMCA camps offer kids a chance to explore places, activities and ideas outside their normal lives. At camp, they discover new talents, interests and friends. Parents have trusted YMCA camps for generations, because they are experiences that help foster leadership, self-confidence, and deepen respect for the environments and communities we live in. Our goal is to provide a warm, safe and engaging environment where children can discover who they are, develop lifelong friendships and gain skills they'll use for a lifetime, so no matter what your background or summer schedule, there’s a place for your kids at a Y camp.

Date and Time: June 10th - August 16th, 7:30am-6:00pm

Open House: May 29th and June 5th, 6:30pm-7:30pm

Registration: $30 Member and non-member 
In-house and On-line ends, the Wednesday before each week of camp, at which time payments of remaining balances are drafted for the upcoming week of 2024. 

Weekly Cost: $129 members, $144 non-members

Eligibility: Aged 5 -12 years

Financial Assistance Available!

In an effort to include all children, the YMCA has a financial assistance program. This program uses a sliding fee scale for membership and child care which is based on need. For more information, please contact the YMCA at 252-438-2144 or download and complete a financial assistance application and submit a copy to Member Services.

SDC was awarded a grant from Triangle North Healthcare Foundation. The mission of Triangle North Healthcare Foundation - to encourage, support, and invest in quality efforts that measurably improve health in the Triangle North area, is achieved through funding initiatives, programs, and projects of nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and schools. “Our grantees provide the boots on the ground, the expertise in the field, and the committed hearts and minds that will make our community a healthier place to be,” said Val Short, executive director. The Foundation’s community focus includes four counties in the region north of the Triangle– Franklin, Granville, Vance, and Warren counties.
