Summer Basketball Challenge

JULY 9-30, Tuesdays 6-8PM for girls and boys ages 6-12
4-week Offensive Training Sessions

$25 Henderson Family Y Member
$40 program participant


This coed clinic focuses on helping players develop as individuals, rather than coaching a team as a whole.
You can expect professional coaching, low player to coach ratios and plenty of ball handling time.

We teach the fundamentals and also build character by emphasizing teamwork and good sportsmanship. Experience is not required. Pick up or download a Volunteer application (incl Confidentiality policy and a background check authorization form) at Member Services and be sure to indicate Youth Sports



For over 25 years, the Henderson Family YMCA has been the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active as well as developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. We enjoy the excitement and passion around sports programs that create a healthy outlet for children to gain new skills, develop a sense of team and connect with positive role models.

The youth sports programs currently being offered at the YMCA are boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball, soccer, t-ball, and a volleyball clinic. The cost of team shirts, trophies, equipment, officials and staff are all expenses that we have to cover each sports season.

We cannot accomplish this alone. The Y depends upon the kindness and compassion of volunteers and sponsors to continue the success of our youth sports programs.
