Wellness Center

The Wellness Center offers a variety of cardiovascular equipment including ellipticals, treadmills, recumbent bikes and more.  In addition, we offer the Cybex Weight Training System which provides a series of workout stations that allows a total body workout of every major muscle group.  All new members receive three basic orientations in the wellness center so feel free to make an appointment with one of our wellness staff to become familiar with our equipment.


Lockers

Lockers can be used daily by members with a lock and key checked out at the Member Services desk, or a locker can be rented by the year. If the member chooses to rent a locker for the year the member should provide a lock for the rented locker.  The member may select their personal locker to be used for the duration of the year.  The member will be invoiced for the locker rental in January for the upcoming year.  The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.  Locks left on daily-use lockers will be removed and articles taken to the lost and found area.                        

Towel Service

Each member will be given a towel upon request.  A fee of 50¢ is charged for second towel.  Please leave soiled towels in the bins provided throughout our facility.
 

Merchandise Sales

YMCA T-shirts, sweatshirts, swim goggles and swim caps can be purchased at the front desk when available.
 

Building Attire

Appropriate shirts and non-marking shoes are to be worn in the building at all times.  Swimming apparel is restricted to the pool area.  Fitness apparel and appropriate gymnasium attire is expected in the wellness center and gym.
  

Personal Training

Members requesting additional “one on one” instruction are invited to take advantage of the YMCA personal training program.

After signing up for personal training sessions, members will have a free consultation – includes wellness assessment, goal setting, weigh-in and measurements.

Session fees – include a personalized workout program, guidance & implementation of the program from a personal trainer.

1 session - $30
5 sessions - $90 ($10 savings)
10 sessions - $175 ($25 savings)
15 sessions - $260 ($40 savings)

Sessions must be paid in full prior to the first appointment and must be utilized within 12 months.
Appointments must be cancelled within 12 hours or member will be charged for the session.
A free final evaluation and review will be offered at the conclusion of all sessions.
 

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Aqua Aerobics - All water aerobic classes are outstanding programs for those that find floor exercise too stressful for the bones and joints. Emphasis is on total fitness, including heart-lung endurance, muscle flexibility, strength and endurance.

Aqua Zumba - Blends the Zumba® philosophy with water resistance, for one pool party you shouldn't miss! There is less impact on your joints during an Aqua Zumba® class so you can really let loose. Water creates natural resistance.

Aquacise - All water aerobic classes are outstanding programs for those that find floor exercise too stressful for the bones and joints. Emphasis is on total fitness, including heart-lung endurance, muscle flexibility, strength and endurance.

Body Sculpt / Boot Camp - Get your heart rate up with low impact aerobic movements. Tone all your muscle groups utilizing hand weights, balls and bands with high energy, fun music.

C. A. R. E. - Low intensity guided exercise program; MPH cardiac rehab graduates and all members.

Cardio Body Pump - A cardiovascular class that combines low and high impact aerobics and dance moves.

Core and More - Focuses on flexibility & endurance. Low Impact cardio movement increases cardiovascular endurance. Build and focus on all your muscle groups with weights. End the class with stretching & relaxation.

Core Training - Develop a firm healthy middle! This class will work your total core using a variety of exercises and movement.

Indoor Cycling - One hour of high intensity riding using high-tech stationary bikes. This class helps participants burn fat, build & tone muscles & increase aerobic strength.

Insanity - Cardio-based total-body conditioning program

Jammin' Step - This is a high energy, high intensity, multi-impact class designed to increase, or maintain, your fitness level while effectively & safely burning fat & toning muscles.

Line Dancing - Various dances each week

P90-X remix - A high intensity workout utilizing cardio moves and weights. This full-body workout strives to increase muscular endurance & strength with a high intensity cardio component.

Paddle with Patty - All water aerobic classes are outstanding programs for those that find floor exercise too stressful for the bones and joints. Emphasis is on total fitness, including heart-lung endurance, muscle flexibility, strength and endurance.

Pilates - Addresses balance while working the entire muscular-skeletal system, as well as impacting the circulatory & lymphatic system. This class is for all levels of expertise.

Silver Sneakers (circuit) - Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball is alternated with non-impa

Silver Sneakers (classic) - Move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair

Spartan SGX - Builds strength & endurance through intense movements for those wishing to excel their fitness

Water Fitness & Fun - All water aerobic classes are outstanding programs for those that find floor exercise too stressful for the bones and joints. Emphasis is on total fitness, including heart-lung endurance, muscle flexibility, strength and endurance.

Yin Yoga - Relax, stretch and tone while holding each specific pose for 3-5 minutes. Work your connective tissue, loosen your stiff joints and improve flexibility. All levels of fitness abilities are welcome.

Yoga - Increase your muscle tone and flexibility. Learn to relax and become focused on your overall well-being & health.

Zumba - Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations. You do not have to be able to dance to participate in this class.
