Girls on the Run® is a positive youth development program  for girls in 3rd-5th grades which combines an interactive curriculum and running to inspire self-respect and healthy lifestyles in pre-teen girls. Our core curriculum addresses many aspects of girls' development - their physical, emotional, mental and social well-being.  Lessons provide girls with the tools to make positive decisions and to avoid risky adolescent behaviors.  Scholarships are available.

Many thanks to all our GOTR 5k 2018 participants, volunteers and sponsors!

We would love to host a team at your school. As one of only three afterschool programs recently recognized as a top research-based social emotional learning program in Harvard University’s report Navigating SEL from the Inside Out, we want to make sure that your girls have an opportunity to participate in our transformative program. We would welcome the opportunity to set up an appointment to tell you more about the program and answer any questions you may have and will follow-up by phone next week to schedule a time for us to connect.  In the meantime, please visit www.gotrnnc.org for more information (site application) or contact Tremanisha Taylor, Council Director to learn more about how you can bring this transformative program to your school.
